Episode 09: Rediscover the Healing Art of Music | Poranguí

Poranguí is one of those guys who has been instrumental in the changes that I’ve felt in my life. He’s a man in true alignment, and when you spend enough time with someone like that, you understand when you’re out of alignment and what a true path looks like for you.

When I met him, I did whatever I could to spend time with him — I went to his retreats, I participated in his sound healings, I went to his live performances — and then I was invited on these tribal men’s retreats in Sedona that changed my life. Being surrounded by men that show up masculine but are deeply in touch with their feminine is what this podcast is all about.

Poranguí was raised among three distinct cultures — Brazil, Mexico, and the United States. Both of his parents were musicians and artists who passed much of that along to him. He thought he was going to be a doctor, but when he got there, he saw that the traditional model of healing and medicine is so broken. It was then that he pivoted to studying neurology and discovering the research behind what he had already identified: That music and art and movement are healing.
