I started working with Ryan Frisinger a little over two years ago. He has fundamentally changed my life. He has given me incredible tools to strengthen my resilience. Not in an abrasive “Do Hard Shit” crossfit culture type of way, but the tools that let me feel and listen to what my body needs. To treat myself with love, forgive trauma, and do the necessary things to strengthen and thrive in the modern world.

Ryan helps individuals restore health and vitality by designing customized health programs that address genetic weaknesses, nutritional deficiencies, emotional traumas, and performance issues. Ryan has been able to help a range of patients from NBA Players to children with Autism foster the capacity to heal themselves.

This is a podcast packed full of information. Here are a compiled list of the modalities that Ryan has used to help my life and countless others:

Cal’s Modalities:

  • Transcendental Meditation 

    • Ryan has found it to be the easiest and most natural form of meditation. It is effortless because it uses the mantra to let your mind drop into deeper states.

  • Kangen Water 

    • It is a water machine that allows you to control the pH. More importantly there are a ton of different antioxidants that get created. It is also H3O water. 

  • Cold Water Therapy (50 - 57 degrees) 

    • Initiates all types of recovery and repair pathways in the body. Ideally combined with intentional breathwork.

    •  It has anti-inflammatory properties. 

    • When you recoil from the cold it tells you about your leptin levels. You can use it diagnostically to assess the state of your hormones.

    • Better to use in the winter than the summer. 

  • Sea Salt Flush

    • Level 1: Less Salt (¼ teaspoon in a cup of water) - Get’s the adrenal switch flipped.

    • Level 2: Deeper detoxification - Helps to displace bromine and fluoride in the body.  

  • Sauna

    • Method for detoxifying the body. 

    • Combine the use of antioxidants

    • Reduces immune complexes

    • Helps to clear inflammatory molecules

  • TRE (Trauma Release Exercise)

    • Very effective trauma therapy that should be done supervised to start

    • A set of exercises that induces tremoring in your body.

  • Time Restricted Eating

    • Eating when the sun is out. Food within 30 minutes of eating and having your last meal before the light goes out.

    • More carbohydrates when there is more sun, less carbohydrates when there is less sun

    • You need a minimum of 12 hours of no food, tea, supplements each day. 

  • The Bemer Mat

    • Acts as a biocharger and raises ATP and micro-circulation.

  • Netflix recommendations

    • Unnatural Selection

      • Grinders and implanters. Putting devices in themselves.

    • The Magic Pill

      • Documentary on Keto and a well constructed Keto diet.
