After 18 years of marriage, Peyton and I decided to end our relationship — at least the version of it we always knew.
We were going through the motions. Ambivalent. Stagnant. She didn't like being around me and I subtly resented her.
Both of us took time to heal and do heart-work. We thanked our relationship for bringing us our children, our experiences together and all the lessons. We released our relationship, giving it permission to evolve.
We ended marriage number one and decided to begin marriage number two together. In October of 2018, we had a ceremony honoring this new "version" of our relationship!
In this episode, we break down, for you, what broke down our relationship and share our journey of allowing only a "version” of our marriage to end — not the entire thing.
