Mehcad Brooks is a Hollywood actor, talented musician, and a former Calvin Klein model. Recently, he has been prolific on social media during this incredibly challenging period that hit a tipping point with the murder of George Floyd. He’s emerged as a voice of a generation. Mehcad knows his history and has shown love, compassion, honesty as he’s shared his deep pain vulnerably. He’s also started the Church of Anti-Racism on IG, which is currently in the midst of a 21-day anti-racist challenge.

Mehcad’s voice is as important as any that I could wish to have on the Great Unlearn especially when the very premise of this podcast is to bring awareness to our conditioning and inherited beliefs and to begin to unlearn them. If you don’t believe that racism and racist ideas need to be unlearned, then I’m really not sure what to tell you except, just stay with us… because it’s in all of us. The good news is that we can change those ideas by becoming conscious of them, extracting them and replacing them by with antiracist ideas and we can supporting antiracist policies.
